John,

Use a flatbed scanner designed for film scanning. Something like a Epson V700/V750. If quality is critical, you need to use a drum scanner.

I've a couple of dozen of some 50-70 year old negs in larger-than-35 mm size. Have a scanner for 35mm. Sigh.

Does anyone have equipment that can scan such negatives? Not urgent.

It depends on the film format. I have a flatbed Epson Photo 2450 that can handle 120 and 4x5 film, but I would strongly advise that you get this done professionally. There's a huge difference between the results you get from a $20,000 drum scanner vs. a flatbed home scanner.
