Reporting to the Manager, Network Systems, you will be responsible for: * a high-speed, high-availability storage infrastructure that accommodates hundreds of gigabytes of new data every month. * hardware and software selection, performance tuning, as well as design and implementation of archiving, backup and restore policies and procedures. * administering the Linux computing environment (Red Hat/Debian/VMWare) including user management, system deployment, security access control, troubleshooting and issue resolution. * writing shell scripts and compiling Linux kernels. * partnering with the Network Administrator and providing backup as required. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Linux System Administrator. Experience supporting Microsoft Windows in an Active Directory Environment is considered an asset.
