Hi; Found out why evolution creates new files in user2 when I set up a link. Don't know the solution. There is a file called ./evolution/camel-cert.db that changes its ownership and permissions each time evolution is run by a different user. When the link is used it returns an error message 'The application "evolution-alarm-notify" has quit unexpectedly'. Afterwards as I add a new item to task, then contact etc. it creates a new file directory ignoring the link. It seems to do revert to defaults in a specific order with mail being last. As long as I just read no change is made, only when I try to write to a file. How do I prevent camel-* from taking control? Changing the permissions and ownership doesn't help -- something just changes them back. Regards Bill
